A.C.T.S

The book of the Bible that tells of the development of the church is called Acts. It tells of the journeys that the Apostles took to spread the message of Jesus and establish churches that would continue to live out that message. Dominion Christian Church uses a ministry model that we call “ACTS” to get people involved in receiving and spreading the Good News of Jesus. The ACTS model is arranged around the idea that healthy churches will reach the world for Christ in at least four ways: Christian Action, Christian Community, Christian Teaching or Christian Service.

In all of these ways the church lives out the message of Christ. Further, the ACTS model provides opportunities for church members to connect faith to action. God wants us in the game of life - not on the sidelines. ACTS asks us to match our faith with deeds. “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” (James 2.26 NIV). Whether it is volunteering with a church ministry, leading or joining a small group, being a part of a directed Bible class, or helping at a local shelter, ACTS opens the door for members of Dominion Christian Church to live out the message of Christ.
